Reflecting on Reflecting!

Well, after Mrs. Shawana and I decided it would be best to take out the discovery table to allow more room for the children to play, we both made another observation.  While reading over our most recent blog post we both felt the same way when we saw the picture of our new space.  The carpet is far to busy!  We both agreed that anything the children create on the carpet will get lost in the pattern of the carpet.  So, we decided to switch carpets with the Library.  Success!  The new space was a hit!

Before

After

Some children noticed the change right away while others did not.  I asked some children how they felt in their new space and some of their responses were…

“This is cozy.”

“Now I have lots of room to play.”

The girls were excited to make lilly pads with frogs!
